When I first listened to Celestite, I noticed that it is really an extension of their previous, Celestial Lineage. The genre is black metal/ambient, but done only on the bands terms, in other words something completely different. Wolves in the Throne Room live in Olympia, Washington and they take the energy out of the Pacific Northwest and carve it into their unique sound. If you want to hear something just so different from the norm, than this is an album you need. When you review such heavy metal/thrash/growling vocals all the time, this album throws you off guard. What it means is you need to listen to it a couple of times, to really get the feel of what they have accomplished here.

The album really isn’t something that you can describe, it’s one that you need to “Experience”, but they have taken a deeper trip into the domains that must compel them to create such a style of music for listening.
