The pioneers of Sweden’s Metal, formed back in 1996, THE HAUNTED have now debut the brand new 3 track EP “Eye Of The Storm”.

It will be available as a limited edition 7” EP (1000 copies split as follows: 500 black vinyl / 300 red vinyl 2 200x on white vinyl), also along with that is a digital single. You can pre-order the 7” (black/red versions) from CM Distro in Europe

THE HAUNTED recording debut is also their revamped lineup, that was previously announced last summer, featuring founding members: Jensen (guitars), Jonas Björler (bass), along with returning members Marco Aro (vocals) and Adrian Erlandsson (drums), and new member Ola Englund (guitar).

There has been a lot of change up within the band, and now you are about to see what it is that makes them THE HAUNTED. In the spring, they will be doing some gigs, summer sees them doing some festivals all over, in other words, they are going to make their presence known.  This is just a teaser to a new album, and this is one hell of a teaser, which has been said to expect a release in summer of this year.

I am always so amazed of how many bands I have not heard of before. Since doing CD reviews I have had the pleasure of listening to many different genres and such a range of music, and this one, lucky for me, I have had the opportunity to give it a listen.

THE HAUNTINGS newest release "Eye of the Storm" contains 3 tracks, what I hear in these killer songs is some old school extreme metal giving some power to their deliverance. They are heavy, but at the same time, these 3 songs are so well put together, I am not privy to what they sounded like before, and to tell you the truth, I like not knowing, just want to give my opinion on what this EP sounds like. I can say, these songs, is your teaser for what is to come, is going to kick some ass. Whether it is the guitars, bass, drums, or vocals, there was alot of thought put into this, making it a great prelude of whats to come. The last song, "My Enemy", comes in under a minute, how do you get your music out in that short a time, well it seems THE HAUNTED have done just that, short and totally shines. But pay attention, as this is short and sweet, but pretty darned heavy.

Get it, enjoy it, then get ready for whats to come this summer.
