FOREIGNER, the classic British-American rock band, has announced that it is donating proceeds from a new version of its hit song "I Want To Know What Love Is" to Shriners Hospitals For Children. FOREIGNER recently recorded the song and created a new music video featuring Shriners Hospitals For Children patients. The new release is available for download on Google Play and iTunes beginning January 1. Fans can visit www.showthemlove.org to download or pre-order the album.

The single appears on a new album of live recordings, "Foreigner Live In Concert", available on February 15 both digitally and in stores via The Orchard. FOREIGNER is donating proceeds from both the single and the entire album to Shriners Hospitals For Children.

The Mick Jones composition "I Want To Know What Love Is" hit the top of the charts all over the world when it was released in 1984 and is FOREIGNER's biggest hit to date. It remains one of the band's best-known songs and is listed as one of Rolling Stone magazine's greatest songs of all time.

"There is a spiritual undertone to 'I Want To Know What Love Is' and when you apply the lyrics to a cause like Shriners Hospitals For Children, it brings a whole new meaning to the song," said FOREIGNER founding member, lead guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones.

"It's hard to put a dollar amount on the value of this gift, but this is truly a monumental donation in our mind," said John McCabe, executive vice president of Shriners Hospitals For Children. "Participating in the music video will be an invaluable experience for our patients. The fact that sales proceeds from the download of this song will go to Shriners Hospitals For Children is a wonderful bonus."

"FOREIGNER has been involved with Shriners Hospitals for 10 years, and we've been looking for a way to make a more meaningful impact," said lead singer Kelly Hansen. "The lyrics of this song really speak to the qualities we've observed in the children here at Shriners Hospitals. The kids show this amazing resilience and happiness that really makes one think how powerful love is."

With Judas Priest’s latest studio album, Firepower, confirmed as one of the most successful of the band’s entire career - landing in the "top 5" of 17 countries (including their highest chart placement ever in the U.S., at #5) - demand to see the legendary metal band in concert is higher than ever.

And North American headbangers will get their chance to experience the legendary band on a nearby concert stage this coming spring/summer, when Priest will tour throughout the continent - with the classic metal band Uriah Heep as support.

Kicking off on May 3rd at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida and wrapping up on June 29th at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans will get an opportunity to catch Priest at the height of their concert powers on any one of the tour’s 32 dates.

“Metal maniacs - Judas Priest is roaring back to the USA for one more blast of Firepower! Firepower 2019 charges forth with new first time performances born out of Firepower, as well as fresh classic cuts across the decades from the Priest world metalsphere. Our visual stage set and light show will be scorching a unique, hot, fresh vibe - mixing in headline festivals, as well as the in-your-face venue close ups. We can’t wait to reunite and reignite our maniacs...THE PRIEST IS BACK!” -Judas Priest

There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their nearly 50-year career - responsible for issuing such all-time classic albums as British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance, and Painkiller, as well as the anthems “Breaking the Law,” “Living After Midnight,” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming.”

And Priest’s presence and influence remains strong, as evidenced by the chart performance of 'Firepower' and its glowing reviews, a Grammy Award win for 'Best Metal Performance', plus being a VH1 Rock Honors recipient and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

Also, Priest can be credited as being one of the first metal bands to pioneer wearing leather and studs – a look that would eventually be embraced by metalheads throughout the world.

Undoubtedly, Judas Priest’s upcoming North American tour will only add to their ever-growing status of heavy metal legends.

NOVEMBER 30th 2018

IN FLAMES vocalist Anders Fridén spoke to Cameron Buchholtz of the Rock 100.5 The KATT radio station about the band's upcoming studio album. The follow-up to 2016's "Battles" will include the song "I Am Above", the official video for which make its online debut on December 14. The clip was once again directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, AMARANTHE and KAMELOT, among others.

Asked about the response to the 21-second "I Am Above" teaser, which saw some fans praising IN FLAMES' return to a heavier sound of the past, Anders said: "I don't know about that part. I mean, I'm happy that people are excited, of course. Personally, I don't like these hype things where they say, 'Oh, they're back again,' or, 'It's this again,' and then they get the full album and [are], like, 'Oh, fuck. It's not…' 'Cause we never do the same album twice; we always take things forward. But I think this one is a little bit more guitar-oriented and slightly heavier… Don't take 'heavier' for grant… But it has a different feel to it."

The vocalist added: "I'm super happy. It's everything that we are: it's melodic; it's aggressive, it's big — big choruses. And I hope people like it.

"If you're familiar with IN FLAMES, as a band, as we are today and have been for awhile, then I don't think you're gonna get disappointed."

Anders also talked about the contributions of IN FLAMES' latest additions, American musicians Tanner Wayne (drums) and Bryce Paul (bass). Asked if Wayne and Paul changed the songwriting dynamic in IN FLAMES, Anders said: "No. They are part of the band for sure, but me and Björn [Gelotte, guitar] have been working for three months for this album. We are a strong band, and I think live, everybody comes together. But when it comes to writing, you don't want too many chefs. We've been doing it for such a long time, we know what we want, and we wanna get there as fast as possible, you know what I mean? But they bring a lot to the table, of course — the community, the feeling of the band and everything. So, yeah… [They're] awesome guys."

IRON MAIDEN will bring the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour to North America in 2019 for an extensive series of arena and amphitheater shows produced by Live Nation, including a first-ever headline appearance at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. The tour will cover a total of 33 cities right across the U.S.A. and Canada, including Portland, Oregon where they haven't played since 1987 on the "Somewhere In Time" tour, Hartford, Connecticut where they last played in 2005, and many other places not visited since the "Maiden England" 2012-2013 tour. The full list of dates is below.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. As always, there will be an exclusive pre-sale for IRON MAIDEN fan-club members.

The band's triumphant first leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour opened in Europe earlier this year to outstanding critical acclaim, not just by the 750,000-plus fans who came to see the show but right across national press and rock media, including The Times (UK) newspaper calling it "an extraordinary show filled with world class theatrics… a masterclass in performance and staging."

MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson comments: "We're excited to return to North America and share the 'Legacy Of The Beast' tour with all our friends there! We're immensely proud of this show and we've had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe earlier this year. The production is based on our mobile game 'The Legacy Of The Beast' which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different MAIDEN worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date. We've got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during 'Aces High', tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvellous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see! And, of course, we have Eddie, as you've never seen him before, and absolutely loads of other surprises. I've had the time of my life playing with all these magnificent props on stage, it's been fantastic, we can't wait to bring this show to you!"

Steve Harris, bassist and founder member adds: "We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven't played in many years, like 'Flight Of Icarus', 'Sign Of The Cross' and 'The Clansman' with songs we know the fans want to hear like 'The Trooper', '2 Minutes To Midnight', 'The Number Of The Beast', 'Fear Of The Dark', 'Run To The Hills', 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and we are really looking forward to seeing everybody again!"

Support on the 2019 tour comes from THE RAVEN AGE. Additionally, FOZZY will be guests for the Banc of California Stadium show in Los Angeles.

For the 2019 shows, IRON MAIDEN will, in conjunction with the promoters, be implementing a partial digital ticketing system in as many venues as possible. This technology, being used by the NFL amongst others, is a progression of the paperless system that MAIDEN have been successfully using since 2010 and has worked well in lessening ticket scalping and the drain of prime tickets into the Secondary market.

Fans in the USA and Canada will once again be able to enjoy a Trooper VIP Upgrade package allowing early access to the venue, a pile of Trooper goodies, Trooper beers, food and a designated area to meet with other fans, plus the opportunity to win some great prizes. Tickets for the 2019 North American "No More Tours 2" shows go on sale to the general public starting Friday, November 9 at LiveNation.com and through the Live Nation app.

The "No More Tours 2" tour launched in May 2018 in Santiago, Chile for solo shows in three countries followed by a six-week European leg of headlining solo dates and festival performances. A North American tour followed kicking off August 30 in Allentown, Pennsyvania, with the final four shows of that leg of the tour postponed for Ozzy to recover from an infection. Those four shows — Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas — will now conclude the 2019 dates. Tickets for these rescheduled dates are on sale now at LiveNation.com. The trek will also include a newly announced June 11 stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Prior to his 2019 dates, Ozzy will headline a special New Year's Eve Ozzfest spectacular at the Forum in Los Angeles.

On his upcoming farewell world tour, produced by Live Nation, Osbourne will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of BLACK SABBATH which formed in 1968). This tour, expected to take Ozzy around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows in the future. Throughout his career, Ozzy has sold more than 100 million records.

This will mark the first time MEGADETH will join Osbourne for a full tour, although they have performed together previously at Ozzfest and other festivals around the world.

Although Ozzy's current solo tour is billed "No More Tours 2" and has been advertised as his last major world trek, he insisted that he's not going away entirely, saying: "What I'm stopping is doing what I'm doing now — going around the world all the time. I wish people would understand I'm not retiring. Is it my bad English accent? It's called the 'No More Tours' tour. It doesn't say 'No more tours ever.'"

The legendary singer said that he's easing back on the heavy road schedule in order to be with his family, remarking: "I've got grandchildren that I want to spend time with." But he added that he's been lucky to do what he's been doing for 50 years, saying: "I don't punch a card every morning This is not my job; it's my passion. It's been the best thing that's ever happened to me in my life."

"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.

Last year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly 30 years.

As most fans remember, back in 2000 and 2001, KISS already performed a "Farewell Tour". The trek, which was the last to feature both guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss, played 142 shows over five legs, covering North America, Japan, and Australia.

"Let's put it into perspective and try to at least get a sense of what's different [this time around]," frontman Paul Stanley told Rolling Stone. "The farewell tour took place 19 years ago. The farewell tour was at the end of the time that we had brought back the two original members [guitarist Ace Frehley and Peter Criss] and it was such drudgery and so difficult and so unhappy that it just seemed, like, 'Let's put the horse down.' And after the tour was over, it didn't take me very long to realize I didn't want to say goodbye to the band; I wanted to say goodbye to two members. So that was the differences. We've had 19 years of the band. The band has never been better, happier… But with all that in mind, it's time to think about an end."

Although Stanley didn't rule out the possibility of guest appearances by former members, he didn't promise anything either. "I really can't say," Stanley said. "This will be a celebration of KISS and not any individual lineup or any individual members. I wouldn't rule anything out, but it's not the crux of what we're doing… and I'm not being coy either. I don't want to mislead anybody, really that's not something that's been given a lot of thought at this point, the majority of our time has gone into what is the stage going to be, what is the show going to be, and we're actually in the midst of toying with setlists now."

Rumors of KISS's final run of live shows gained strength several months ago following the news that the band was attempting to trademark the phrase "The End Of The Road." An application from KISS was filed in February to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which means that the band could use it in connection with "live performances by a musical band."

Bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons recently told Sweden's Expressen newspaper that KISS's next tour will last three years. Calling it the band's "most spectacular tour ever," the bassist/vocalist added that the trek will make stops on "all continents."

For the first time since its 1996 debut, Ozzfest — the annual musical event that celebrates hard rock and heavy metal — has created a special one-night-only New Year's Eve celebration to ring in 2019. Set for Monday, December 31 at The Forum in Los Angeles, the event features headliner OZZY OSBOURNE and a lineup of some of the greatest names in rock (and Ozzfest alumni): ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON, and Jonathan Davis (of KORN), along with the Ozzfest debut of BODY COUNT featuring Ice-T. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, fronted by Osbourne's guitarist Zakk Wylde, will headline a second stage outside. Four other yet-to-be-announced bands will also play that stage. The New Year's Eve party will include an outdoor stage, along with other holiday festivities, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks. The evening will conclude with Osbourne onstage counting down to the new year!

"I asked Sharon what we're doing this New Year's Eve and she said, 'We're doing fuck all!" says Ozzy Osbourne. "So I thought, 'We didn't do Ozzfest in 2018, so let's do a New Year's Eve Ozzfest.'"

"Ozzy hates the holidays," Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife and manager, tells Rolling Stone with a laugh. "He hates Christmas and he hates New Year's Eve. He always saying, 'Let's do a gig.' And I'm always like, 'There never is one.' So this year, we said, 'All right, let's do an Ozzfest, because we never did it this year.' Everybody used to play on New Year's and Christmas in the seventies and Eighties, but not anymore. So it's the perfect time."

Tickets for the Live Nation-produced Ozzfest 2018 go on sale Friday, October 26 at 10:00 A.M. PT. Ticket prices range from $49.50 for general admission to $179.50 for a reserved seat. VIP packages are also available, details of which can be found at Ozzfest.com.

Ozzfest started more than 20 years ago and was the first national music festival of its kind dedicated to hard rock music.

Ozzfest has not been a traveling festival in the U.S. since 2007's "free" edition. The show morphed into a one-off event in Dallas in 2008, took 2009 off and played just six cities in 2010.

Over 17,000 concert-goers were in attendance for last year's all-day Ozzfest, which was headlined by OZZY OSBOURNE, while ROB ZOMBIE closed out the next day's Knotfest bill

Oli Herbert, guitarist of Massachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS, has died. He was only 44 years old. The news of his passing was broken by the group in a social post earlier today.

Oli's bandmates wrote in a statement: "We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of ALL THAT REMAINS, has passed away.

"Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined rock and metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.

"No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made."

Oli's widow, Beth, later released the following statement via his official Facebook page: "Thank you all for the kind thoughts and words. I don't want to go into what happened until we have a complete picture, but as soon as we do, there will be a statement from the family on this page. In the meantime, please respect our privacy as there are still relatives being informed of Oli's passing. Thank you."

Being a longtime teacher of over 20 years, Oli found a recipe to help budding guitarists achieve new levels of proficiency. In 2009, his metal guitar instructional program for Rockhouse earned him "instructional DVD of the year," and set the bar for all other metal guitar instruction.

Asked what originally got him into playing guitar and making music, Oli told Tone Freqs in a 2013 interview: "I got into metal around 1986, and started listening to MÖTLEY CRÜE, DOKKEN, OZZY OSBOURNE and stuff like that. Right before I started playing, I got into METALLICA and MEGADETH.

"When I was younger, I'd started playing piano, and I liked playing all the new age and pop stuff because keyboard is often the main instrument in those songs," he said. "But when I started listening to metal and rock, guitar was suddenly the main instrument I was listening to. So I think my ear has always been in tune with the lead instrumentalist."

ALL THAT REMAINS's ninth full-length album, "Victim Of The New Disease", is due on November 9 via Fearless.
