MARTYR DEFILED: NO HOPE,NO MORALITY

Review by Metal Mom

“No Hope No Morality” sounds kind of  grim wouldn’t you say. This album is certainly made for those fans of deathcore. Here is the equation death metal + metal core = extreme hardcore.

These guys have created just that: Matthew Jones (Vocals), Dave Trees (Guitars), and Ryan Smith (Guitars) and Richard Duffin (Drums). This is not just metal, and it’s not created for the wimps. It’s down right brutal, the kind of hardcore that is going to grab you by the neck and not let go without some begging.

Low growls and shrieked screams can be heard on this album from Matthew,  fast drumming, including blast beats can be heard throughout as well. And the guitars, riffage that is tuned down but impressive. I am not at all a fan of the hardcore music, but it doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate the work/time that has gone into creating the album, I can tell you honestly these guys have nailed it, like getting punched in the face, this is what you will get, and what most expect (a good thing for hardcore by the way). They have created and executed their music without hesitation, make no mistake this is hardcore through and through. I may not be a fan, but I can say that any hardcore fan out there is going to be headbanging with a fury. Excellent job.

This album was mixed and mastered by Andreas Magnusson (The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon).
