Review by: YouFO

This is who makes up the band:
Justin Oborn - Guitar & Vocals
Liz Buckingham - Guitar
Simon Poole - Drums
Glenn Charman - Bass

Genre - Doom / Stoner

This is their 6th album, 2nd with current lineup, and was originally released back in November 2007. And the tracks then were:

1. Witchcult today
2. Dunwich
3. Satanic Rites of Drugula
4. Raptus
5. The Chosen Few
6. Torquemada 71
7. Black Magic Rituals and Perversions
A) Frisson Des Vampires
B) Zora
8. Saturnine
9. Raptus Reprise

With the re-release, it’s the same tracks, just take out the A / B of # 7, and # 9, and you have the new track list.

This is pure doom stoner material, with simple strong structure. What first struck me listening to this, is that right off the bat I thought Black Sabbath, very strong influence here. This kind of music is just too slow for me to enjoy, but I am not a stoner, so if you are you will enjoy the doom laden, psychedelic tunes. For me it was hard to get through. I am also not a big fan of re-releasing something you have already put out. I would rather have new songs put out to the fans. So this wasn’t for me, and I wont say that its not good, because I am not a fan of this genre, so I will just let you doom fans out there be the judge of this one.
